First things first …

Me
As a new real estate investor, there is so much learning to do. Education is a must in this business.
I finally, after 7 months, finally “got it”. I’m going to share the “got it” with you.
Very first thing to know, build your team. You will need a real estate agent, an attorney, an accountant, how to figure out the “numbers” game and make them work when figuring out a deal. And last but not least – buyers or financial partner to help with the deal.
When I went to the local REI (real estate investor) meeting, free. I learned that I definitely need help. I learned that the real estate agent – a good one – can help you find deals.
So, I spoke with the local agent and she told me she would hook me up with an agent here in CT, as it was a MA meeting. So … I begin the journey of building my team.
In the meantime, I am going to call landlord listing in the newspaper and online to see if any of them are selling or buying properties currently. I will ask if I can add them to my buyer and/or seller list . I will make sure that I can any and all info about the properties that they are selling or looking to buy.
So … I will talk to a good agent and build a buyers list as well. I will also be speaking with others on the investor site to see if they have any buyers with them – should I find a good deal (and I don;t have any buyers of my own yet).
I will keep you all updated on what’s going on. Thanks for learning!
Silver
